Chapter 4: Using the DVR Chapter 4: Using the DVR 4.1 Setting the Camera You can customize the display and recording settings via DISPLAY and RECORD menus. 4.1.1 Display Setup With DISPLAY menu, you can adjust the display settings such as channel type, window position, color, enable live time, and other settings.
Chapter 4: Using the DVR Color Setup In preview mode, right-click on the mouse to display the Pop-up menu. Select Main Menu > DISPLAY. On Channel, select the channel that you want to change the color setting. On Color, click Setup. Drag the slider bar to adjust the color item setting.

Chapter 4: Using the DVR 4.2 Setting the Network To enable remote monitoring, recording, playing, or configuring the setting, you need to configure the network settings first. There are four types of network setup: DHCP, PPPoE, Static IP, and DDNS. Consult your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to determine the type of network connection you are using and the required parameters to complete the setup.

Note: The system supports two DNS server input options: DNS Server1 for main server and DNS Server2 for sub server. Please contact your local ISP (Internet Service Provider) to obtain the correct DNS Server parameter. 4.2.3 Static IP This option allows you to configure the network interface using a fixed IP address.
To use this feature, you must have a DDNS account. Consult with your Internet Service Provider for this service or create a DDNS account with KGUARD.org server, see the “SUPPORT” page on our website (www.kguardsecurity.com). In preview mode, right-click on the mouse to display the Pop-up menu.

Specify the date and click Search. Click Playback or the time slot of the recorded video that you want to play. You can play all channels at the same time or double-click a channel to playback in full screen.

Update System Firmware Use this feature to update the firmware with the latest version. Open a web browser and visit KGUARD Security web site (www.kguardsecurity.com). Check for available updates and download the firmware update file named “dvrupgrade”. Save the “dvrupgrade” file in a USB flash drive.
