Q. How far does the device transmit? The npower home energy monitor is designed to operate in a home environment over a range of 30 metres with two walls in between the transmitter and display unit. The 868MHz band is well suited for in-home use. This can cover three floors, and is also well suited to properties where meters are outside the main building.
If your supplier asks for a reading or if you’re checking your bills, always look at the readings on your meter (NOT your npower home energy monitor) as these will continue to be used for billing purposes.
