4.4. Disk
The Disk page of the LaCie Network Space NAS administra-
tion page gives you basic information about your LaCie Network
Space disk and any attached external USB hard disks.
The total, used and available capacity of each disk is listed.
You can also use this page to format (erase) your LaCie Network
Space disk and to safely remove an attached external USB disk
before disconnecting the USB cable or USB key.
4.4.1.
Formatting the LaCie Network
Space Disk
CAUTION:
Formatting the LaCie Network Space disk will de-
stroy all data saved on the disk. Back up important data before
formatting. Your Admin settings will be saved.
1.
Log in to the LaCie Network Space NAS administration page
(see section
4.1. Accessing the NAS Administration

Click
Disk on the Configuration page (Fig. 4.4.1-A).

Click
Format under "LaCie Network Space drive." Click
OK.
4.
Read the warning and click
to proceed. Click OK.
5.
A progress window will open (Fig. 4.4.1-B). Do not close this
window until the "The disk has been successfully formatted."
message appears (Fig. 4.4.1-C).
6.
Click
Close Window. The main Disk page will refresh and
show the formatted capacity of the LaCie Network Space
disk.
