Highlights
Pixel Plus
Pixel Plus technology is an adaptive method of
improving the picture quality of output signals
from any source such as TV reception, satellite
receiver input, DVD recordings and DVD
playback at any quality level. The picture quality
of processed video signals is analyzed and,
dependent on the degree of disturbances,
Philips proprietary noise reduction, time-base
correction and sharpness improvement is
applied automatically on the output signal. This
results in superior quality video output from
the HDMI output on any HDMI TV and Philips
Pixel Plus TVs.
HDMI for simple AV connection
HDMI stands for High Definition Multimedia
Interface. It is a direct digital connection that
can carry digital HD video as well as digital
multichannel audio. By eliminating the
conversion to analog signals it delivers perfect
picture and sound quality, completely free
from noise. HDMI is fully backward-compatible
with (Digital Video Interface) DVI.
Video Upscaling up to 1080i
With Video Upscaling you can increase the
resolution of SD (Standard Definition) video
signals that DVD uses to HD (High Definition)
so you'll be able to see more details thanks to
a sharper, more true-to-life picture.The
resulting HD video output signal can be fed to
an HD display through HDMI (High-Definition
Multimedia Interface).

Integrated Digital TV Tuner
The integrated DVB-T tuner lets you receive
Digital Terrestrial TV to watch or record. The
video signal is kept digital without any analog
steps in between, to preserve the high picture
quality.
5.1 channel audio recording
Digital 5.1 channel audio recording lets you
capture – along with the video – the original
sound from digital multi-channel sources such
as satellite receivers to store it on DVD. These
recordings can then be played back in multi-
channel only on your Philips Recorder or in
Stereo on any DVD player.
