The device is designed to provide a simple and cost-effective ADSL Internet connection for a private Ethernet network. The Modem is easy to use. Connect the TD-8616 to an Ethernet LAN or computers via standard Ethernet ports. The ADSL connection is made using ordinary telephone line with standard connectors.

Chapter 3. Quick Installation Guide 3.1 Configuring the PC After you directly connect your PC to the TD-8616 or connect your adapter to a Hub/Switch which has connected to the Modem, you need to configure your PC’s IP address. Follow the steps below to configure it.
