I get unusually high readings with the wrist cuff, but with a smart watch the readings are normal. Should I reset the Omron BP652 by removing the battery for a period of time?

No, removing the battery is not recommended as a way to fix high readings with the wrist cuff. High readings are more likely caused by incorrect cuff placement or movement during measurement. Ensure the cuff is applied correctly, stay still, and do not talk during measurement.
