    You do not need to completely discharge the battery before recharging. Unlike other • battery systems, there is no memory effect that could compromise the battery's performance.     Getting to know your phone Installing the SIM card and battery Before you can start exploring your new phone, you'll need to set it up. To insert the SIM card and battery: To remove the back cover, hold the phone firmly in one hand. With your other hand, lift off the back cover as shown in figure.
