The Foxtel iQ does not clash when recording two programs. However, if more than two programs are scheduled to record at the same time, a recording clash occurs. The system notifies the user about the clash and suggests which previous recordings to cancel to allow the new selection. Users can either accept the suggested cancellations, cancel the new selection, or choose which recordings to cancel through the "Advanced Options" menu.

My IQ5 box has been removed in anticipation of terminating Foxtel On changing our mind the box has been restored but now we get the message that it s not connected to the internet although the wiring is correct and the internet is working elsewhere. How do I overcome the problem?

To fix the internet connection issue on your Foxtel IQ5 box after a restore, try the following steps:

1. Check Wi-Fi Band – The IQ5 box may have issues with the 5GHz Wi-Fi band. Try switching your router to the 2.4GHz band and reconnecting.
2. Reconnect to Wi-Fi – Go to the settings menu, forget the Wi-Fi network, and then reconnect by entering the password manually.
3. Use Ethernet – If possible, connect the IQ5 box directly to your router using an Ethernet cable for a more stable connection.
4. Remove Hard Drive – Some users report slow wireless speeds when the hard drive is connected. Disconnect it and check if the speed improves.
5. Restart Modem and IQ5 Box – Power off both the modem and the IQ5 box, wait a few minutes, then turn them back on.
6. Contact Foxtel Support – If issues persist, reach out to Foxtel for further troubleshooting or a possible replacement.

These steps should help restore and stabilize your IQ5 box's internet connection.

The Foxtel IQ5 may give no signal on one TV but work on another due to a signal issue from one of the outputs of the dual LNB. Possible causes include a faulty LNB, cabling problems, or bad connections. If a splitter or multiswitch is present in the cable setup, it could also be causing the issue. Checking and replacing faulty components or ensuring proper connections may resolve the problem.
