Do you have a question about the 2000 Series and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
Washer won’t go to rinse cycle
Possible reasons why the Maytag 2000 Series washer won't go to the rinse cycle:
1. Hot and Cold Water Hoses Reversed – If the hoses are connected incorrectly, the washer may not rinse properly. Check that the hot and cold water hoses are connected to the correct faucets.
2. Fabric Softener Dispensing Ball Used – This washer does not work properly with dispensing balls. Add liquid fabric softener directly to the fabric softener compartment instead.
3. Water Temperature Issue – If the wash water is too hot or cold, it may affect the rinse cycle. Ensure the water temperature is appropriate.
4. Control or Sensor Issue – If the washer is not sensing the cycle correctly, try resetting it by unplugging it for a few minutes and restarting the cycle.
If the issue persists, further troubleshooting or professional service may be needed.

My washer is flashing error codes. We can’t turn them off!
The LF error code on a Maytag 2000 Series washer indicates a problem with the water supply, meaning the washer is not getting sufficient water. Possible causes include clogged inlet screens, restricted water flow, or issues with the water supply hoses.
To turn off the LF error code:
1. Ensure the water supply valves are fully open.
2. Check and clean the inlet screens on the water hoses.
3. Inspect the hoses for kinks or blockages.
4. Remove the washer’s top panel to check for further blockages in the water inlet system.
If the issue persists after these steps, refer to the troubleshooting section in the user manual or contact Maytag customer service.

@Mary Strickler it is a 2000 Front load Maytag washer my message enter is flashing and we can’t turn it off.
@Mr. Anderson
LF Code. Hoses are clear, brand new Water Valve inlet replaced. No matter what I do ai cannot get rid of code. Drain cleared took apart and cleaned. No dirt in screens bought new just in case. The rubber in the front keeps putting socks down in the drain holes as well.
The LF code on a Maytag 2000 Series washer indicates a "Long Fill" error, meaning the washer is not getting enough water. This can be caused by issues with the water supply, such as clogged inlet screens, low water pressure, or a kinked hose.
To resolve this issue:
1. Ensure the water supply is turned on.
2. Check the hoses for kinks or blockages.
3. Disconnect the hoses and inspect the inlet screens for debris.
4. Clean or replace clogged screens if necessary.
5. Verify that water pressure to the washer is adequate.
If the issue persists, further inspection of internal components such as the water inlet valve may be needed.

An the rubber seal be removed and replaced
Yes, the rubber seal (bellow) on a Maytag 2000 Series appliance can be removed and replaced. The process involves unplugging the machine, removing the bottom panel using a one-quarter hex bolt, and using a Phillips screwdriver. The outer part of the bellow is held by a spring, which can be carefully removed with a small screwdriver. The inner part has a locking ring that must be placed in a specific groove (valley) to secure the new bellow. Tighten the ring carefully without damaging the rubber.
