Yes, the needle on a Singer 2662 sewing machine can be shifted to the left or right. According to the manual, the machine allows for left, center, and right needle positions. To adjust the needle position, use the machine's controls to move the needle to the desired position for stitching.

Where are the places on this machine do you oil?

You should oil the internal parts of the Singer 2662 sewing machine, especially areas that appear dry or where metal parts move against each other. The provided context mentions cleaning out dust and old thread, then oiling the entire machine, allowing it to sit for 15–20 minutes. Additionally, the manual states to remove excess oil from the stitch plate before using the machine for the first time, indicating that oiling should be done in internal moving parts, including near the stitch plate.

How do I adjust stitch length? Machine is only doing small stitches no matter if I set it at 1 or at 4

To adjust the stitch length on a Singer 2662 sewing machine, use the stitch length control knob. Turn the knob to shorten the stitch length for sheer or soft fabric, or to lengthen it if the stitches are too short. For stretch stitches, adjust the control between "S" and "L" to balance the stitch appearance—use "S" if stitches overlap and "L" if they are too open.
