The sound bar is not responding to the remote. I have replaced the original remote with a brand new one and it has fresh batteries. Has the sound bar died or are there internal setting that would cause this problem?

The Samsung HW-FM45C sound bar may not be responding to the remote control due to the following reasons:
1. Drained Batteries – The remote control batteries may be depleted and need replacement. 2. Distance Issue – The remote control may be too far from the main unit. Moving closer could resolve the issue.
If the problem persists after checking these factors, further troubleshooting may be required.

I don't have a remote so I tried to connect the soundbar to the subwoofer by having the light blinking on the subwoofer and turning on the soundbar afterwards, but it still doesn't work. Any way to fix this?

To connect the Samsung HW-FM45C soundbar to the subwoofer without a remote:
1. Plug the power cords of both the main unit (soundbar) and subwoofer into an AC wall outlet. 2. On the back of the subwoofer, press and hold the ID SET button with a small, pointed object for 5 seconds. The STANDBY indicator will turn off, and the LINK indicator (blue LED) will blink rapidly. 3. Turn on the main unit. The main unit and subwoofer should link automatically.
If the LINK indicator lights up, the connection is successful.
