Troubleshooting
If CDR400c is not performing as expected, look up the symptoms in the following
table, then see what to do.
Symptoms
The power to the CDR400c is off
The power to the computer is off
The CDR400c is not recognized by
the computer.
The CDR400c does not operate cor-
rectly
The CD caddy cannot be loaded
The CD caddy ejects
Incorrect operation

What to Do
• Check the DC power cable connection.
• Check to see if the SCSI card is correctly
installed.
• Check the SCSI cable connection.
• Make sure that SCSI ID numbers are assigned
exclusively.
• Make sure that the last device in the SCSI daisy
chain is terminated correctly.
• Install the SCSI driver software again.
• Check to see if the CDR400c is powered on.
• Make sure that the orientation of the CD caddy
is correct.
• Check to see if you are using a CD caddy with a
logo.
• Make sure that the disc is seated in the caddy
correctly.
• Make sure that the disc is seated in the caddy
correctly.
• Make sure that the caddy is inserted correctly.
• Make sure that you are using the correct disc.
• Make sure that there is no dust, dirt, or conden-
sation on the disc or caddy.
