Hello, virago 250 (01) tail light doesn't work but brake light does, tried different bulbs, fuse, grounds, I noticed ignition is after market and I noticed one tiny ground (black/white) coming from ignition cylinder it was left behind no connected to anything probably extra on the aftermarket ignition cylinder. I followed yellow and blue (+/-) from bulb socket and goes to headlight, everything seems connected, I can just try to connect direct power to those cables to see if lights up but can't figure out, I also checked light switch and everything looks fine. Thanks

If the brake light works but the tail light does not on a Yamaha Virago XV250R, the cause could be:
- A burned-out tail light bulb filament (the bulbs often have separate filaments for tail and brake lights). - A faulty tail light circuit or loose connection. - A blown fuse affecting the tail light only. - A malfunction in the switch or wiring that supplies power to the tail light when the ignition is ON.
Since the brake light uses the same bulb but a different circuit, the issue is likely specific to the tail light power supply or bulb filament.
