A constant buzzing sound when turning the key on a Husqvarna YTH 18542 with a new battery could be caused by:
1. Faulty solenoid or starter – The solenoid may be defective and not engaging properly. Check or replace the solenoid or starter. 2. Loose or damaged wiring – Inspect all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and undamaged. 3. Poor cable connections – Clean and tighten all battery and electrical connections to ensure proper contact. 4. Weak or bad battery cell(s) – Even if the battery is new, it may have a defective cell. Test and replace the battery if necessary.
Checking and addressing these issues should help resolve the problem.
