Organizing File Tags Various organizing tags can be used to manage the three media types (music, movies, photos) in the Pinnacle MediaManager. These organizational criteria serve to rank all files of a specific media type. Organizing tags are exclusive tags. That means that if a music file has been assigned to the Pop genre, it can't also be assigned to the Classical genre.

CD. If you use the Pinnacle ShowCenter, this file conversion function is useful for formats that you cannot directly play back in the ShowCenter Player such as, for example, DV-AVI video clips. During conversion, a copy of the media is created, while the original file remains unchanged.
Page 77 This file needs to be converted before it can be displayed with a connected ShowCenter 1000 Player and be played back. With a ShowCenter 200 Player, it is sometimes possible to get playback without having to convert. The file can be found in the conversion queue.

Note that HD formats as well as "PAL progressive" are only available via the component video out connector. After a new output has been selected, the ShowCenter uses this as the standard output and waits several seconds for you to confirm with OK. If it does not receive confirmation, the ShowCenter returns to the original output.

Glossary 16:9 format: Also called widescreen. Television format where the width-to- height ratio of the display area is 16:9 instead of 4:3. When broadcast for television, part of the picture is broadcast in black (black bars on top and bottom of the picture) to make it compatible with the traditional 4:3 format.

Page 129 Glossary Streaming: The act of transferring compressed video and audio files over the Internet. Streaming does not download all the data at once, but downloads it in stages using a store-and-forward method. The data does not arrive as a continuous file, but is cached in the buffer, which can create delays at the start of transmission.
