A stainless steel steam deflector is sup- plied to protect the countertop from steam and condesation when the dish- washer is opened. If the countertop is made of Corian®, granite, marble or other solid, waterproof material, the steam deflector is not required. The steam deflector has a reflector to indicate when the dishwasher is run- ning.
