Selecting the component video input
mode—DVD VIDEO IN/VCR VIDEO IN/
VIDEO VIDEOIN
When you use the component video inputs for connecting the
DVD recorder (or DVD player), VCR, or other video components
(STB, for example), register the type of video input jacks.
If you have not selected appropriate video input jacks, you cannot
view the playback picture on the TV.
For the DVD recorder or DVD player (DVD VIDEO IN):

Select when connecting the DVD recorder
(or DVD player) to SCART terminal which
receives RGB or composite video signals.

RGB/C/CMPNT
• Select when connecting the DVD recorder
(or DVD player) to SCART terminal which
receives RGB or composite video signals.
• Select when connecting the DVD recorder
(or DVD player) to the component video
input jacks.

S
Select when connecting the DVD recorder
(or DVD player) to SCART terminal which
receives S-video signals.

S/CMPNT
• Select when connecting the DVD recorder
(or DVD player) to SCART terminal which
receives S-video signals.
• Select when connecting the DVD recorder
(or DVD player) to the component video
input jacks.

NOTE
These settings above depends on your video components. Refer
also to the manual supplied with your video components.
Converting the composite video
signal to S-video signal—Y/C
SEPARATE
You can select whether or not to convert composite video signals
coming from a video component into S-video signals.

Select to convert composite video signals
into S-video signals.

Select not to use this function.

NOTES
• This function is available when satisfying all the following
requirements;
– When a video component is connected to this receiver
through using at least one of the connections to input
composite video signals.
– When a TV is connected to this receiver through the AV IN/
OUT (SCART) TV terminal to output S-video signals.
– Either DVD VIDEO IN or VCR VIDEO IN is set to "RGB/C" or
"RGB/C/CMPNT" (see left column).
• When RGB signal is input, set "Y/C SEPARATE" to "Y/C SEP

• When using this function, set the input mode of the TV correctly.
(Refer also to the manual supplied with the TV.)
Memorizing the volume level for each
source—ONE TOUCH OPE
This receiver memorizes some settings separately for each
source. In addition, you can store the volume level for each source
with the other memorized settings. (see page 16)
• This receiver memorizes the volume level
– when you turn off the power, and
– when you change the source.

separately for each source. (The ONE
TOUCH OPERATION indicator lights up
on the display.)

Select this not to store the volume level.

To recall the volume level
With the ONE TOUCH OPERATION indicator lit, the volume level
for the currently selected source is recalled when the source is
selected.
To cancel the One Touch Operation
Set One Touch Operation to "ONETOUCH
ONE TOUCH OPERATION indicator goes off from the display.
