Checking the remaining battery power

The battery indicator on the LCD screen indicates the
amount of remaining battery power as shown on the right.
When the battery power falls to a low level, the recorder
will display the message "LOW BATTERY!." At this time,
replace the battery with a new one.
Battery life (of an alkaline battery used for recording
to the internal memory)
PCM 96kHz, 24bit
PCM 44.1kHz, 16bit
MP3 64kbps
* The above estimate is based on the following assumptions: Recording/playback LED off, backlight off,
no recording monitoring, the ALC function on.
* Battery life varies depending on the type and manufacturer of the battery, storage conditions, usage,
ambient temperature, etc.
* The battery life of a nickel-metal hydride battery is about 70% of that of an alkaline battery. Also, the
voltage of a nickel-metal hydride battery is different from that of an alkaline battery. Therefore, the
remaining battery power for a nickel-metal hydride battery may not be displayed correctly.
