Connecting Your Loudspeakers Wiring up Your Speakers to Your Home Theater Surround Receiver There are many different ways to wire your ProCinema 600 System to your home theater surround receiver. Speaker Break-In Your ProCinema 600 System should sound good right out of the box; however, an extended break-in period of 20 - 40 hours or more of playing is required to reach full performance capability. While one Definitive Technology subwoofer will always sound great, the use of two subwoofers will definitely enhance your system's performance by providing a smoother and more consistent response pattern. Here, it is recommended that you locate the subwoofers on the same side of the room as the main speaker of the same channel. - Page 8 4. Always remember that frequency response and output level are greatly influ- enced by the subwoofer's placement. A movement of even a foot or two can dramatically change your system's response characteristics. My bass subwoofer 600 has a little feedback buzz to it. Is the subwoofer supposed to buzz? And where should I place the Variable Low Pass Crossover switch if the subwoofer is in the floor?
The Definitive Technology ProCinema 600 subwoofer should not buzz under normal operation. If it does, check for improper connections, ground loops, or interference from other electronic devices.
The Variable Low Pass Crossover switch should be set to 150 Hz, as recommended in the manual. If the subwoofer is on the floor, this setting should still be used for optimal performance.
