    Remote control Turns off the unit. Stops video and audio playback. Opens or closes the disc tray. Goes to the previous chapter, track or scene in continuous play mode. Goes to the next chapter, track or scene in continuous play mode. Press this button to enter play mode, resume play after pause or resume play after stop ( Using this function, you can play a specific portion of a title, chapter, or track repeatedly.

    1. Installation Place the disc player on a hard and flat surface. To ensure long and trouble free operation we recommend: - Do not expose the player to direct sunlight. - Do not place the player in warm or dusty environments. Caution: Because of risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the player to rain or moisture.
  • Page 11: Moving To Another Chapter

    Play will stop at the end of any title and usually returns to the menu afterwards. To move on to the next title, press PLAY To stop at any other time, press STOP. You can resume play from the point at which you stopped by pressing again, PLAY as long as you do not put the player in standby or turn it off.

    3.6 Repeat chapter/title/disc To repeat the currently playing chapter, press for 1 second: Repeat chapter appears on the DVA player display. To repeat the currently playing title, press for about 1 second: again Repeat title appears on the player display. To exit repeat mode, press a third time for about 1 second.

    3.11 Checking the contents of DVD-Video discs: menus Special selection menus may be included on the disc for titles and chapters. The DVD player’s menu feature allows you to make selections from these menus. Press the appropriate numerical key; or use the keys to highlight ARROW UP DOWN...

    Repeat track/disc To repeat the currently playing chapter, press for a about 1 second: REP ONE appears on the DVA or TV display. To repeat the entire disc, press for about 1 second: REP ALL appears on the DVA or TV display. To exit repeat mode, press a third time for about 1 second.

    5.1.3 Angle Mark Select ON or OFF. 5.1.4 OSD Language Choose the language used in the on-screen menu. 5.1.5 Captions Select ON or OFF. 5.1.6 Screen Saver Always select ON if you have a plasma screen. 5.1.7 YUV video Select video format. If you want to use the VGA output, then select RGB. Progressive video only works on RGB or YUV (component).

    Select whether SPDIF output can go all the way to up to 96kHz (e.g. DVD Audio), or should be limited to 48 kHz. Select 96kHz if you use the AV100, AV120 or PR350B from Thule Audio. The output should only be selected as limited if your surround amplifier cannot decode 96KHz, please refer to the users manual of the amplifier.

If your country isn’t mentioned, then choose the closest one mentioned. It is recommendable that you leave the player set in the default region chosen from the factory.

    Appendix A: Optical versus electrical digital audio output The electrical connection has more bandwidth, typically more than 50MHz, and this will maintain the pulse quality at the receiver end, which reduces jitter. However there is noise emission from the digital pulses, which can potentially disturb the video signal or TV/FM receiver.

    Appendix B: Hum loops in home theatre installations As the same ground reference is used for video and audio inside nearly all audio/video equipment it is essential to avoid ground loops – otherwise audio hum/noise will likely appear. Please take into consideration the following rules: a) Keep all wires from one unit to another together, to prevent fields from mains cable and CRT monitor (TV set) from inducing noise in the ground path.
