FUSES AND RELAYS

Fuses
If electrical components in the
vehicle are not working, a fuse may
have blown. Blown fuses are
identified by a broken wire within
the fuse. Check the appropriate
15
fuses before replacing any electrical
components.
Note: Always replace a fuse with one that has the specified amperage
rating. Using a fuse with a higher amperage rating can cause severe wire
damage and could start a fire.

how does the electronic lock rear axle work?

The electronic locking rear differential on a Ford F-150 works by using an electromagnetic coil to lock both rear axles together. This ensures equal power distribution to both wheels, increasing traction and torque to the ground. The system is activated by pulling a knob in the cab. When engaged, both rear wheels rotate at the same speed, improving performance in low-traction conditions.
