Preparing, sorting and loading the washing Warning Preparing the Loose debris (e.g. coins, paper clips, needles, nails) washing can damage items of clothing as well as parts of the washing machine (e.g. drum). q Empty all pockets on items of clothing. q Brush sand out of pockets and cuffs/turn ups.
Warning Sorting the washing Washing may become discoloured. Do not wash new coloured washing with other washing. According to colour and degree of dirt White items may become grey. Wash white and coloured items separately. Degrees of dirt Lightly soiled No visible soiling or stains.

d Risk of explosion! Loading Items of clothing that have been pretreated with the washing solvent-based cleaning agents, e.g.stain remover and dry cleaning spirit, represent an explosion hazard once loaded into the washing machine. Before loading the laundry, rinse thoroughly by hand.
Detergents and cleaning products d Risk of poisoning! Dosing detergent Keep detergents and additives out of the reach of children. Dose detergent according to q the water hardness. You can find out the water hardness from your water utility company. q the amount of laundry.

30, 40, 60 C Easy care For easy care textiles, e.g. made of cotton, linen, synthetic or blended fabrics. 30 C Delicates/Silk For delicate, washable textiles, e.g. silk, satin, synthetic materials or blended fabrics (e.g. curtains). Delicates cycle at 30 °C for machine washable silk. We do not recommend washing these textiles with other rougher textiles.
Spin speed selector Basic setting The spin speed selector is pointing up. Laundry is spun at maximum spin speed in the "Cottons+Linens y programme. In the Easy care A", Delicates/Silk" and "Woollens u" programmes, a lower spin speed will automatically be used, irrespective of the position of the button - gentle treatment of delicate fabrics.

Only use dyes that are environmentally compatible Dyeing and suitable for use in washing machines. Caution Discoloration of the laundry in subsequent wash cycles cannot be completely ruled out. q Apply dyes according to the manufacturer's instructions. After dyeing: q Pour ½ measuring beaker of detergent into dispenser II.
Cleaning and Care d Risk of electric shock! First, always disconnect the appliance from the power supply. Never clean the washing machine with a water jet. d Risk of explosion! Never clean the appliance with solvents. As required: Cleaning the q Use hot soapy water or a mild, non abrasive appliance housing cleaning agent.
In the event that residual detergents or additives have Cleaning the deter accumulated: gent dispenser q Pull out the detergent drawer all the way. q Press down the insert and q remove the detergent drawer. q Open the cover. q Clean the detergent drawer and cover under running water and dry.
q Carefully remove the pump cap. A little more residual water will flow out. q Remove foreign objects/fluff from inside and clean the interior. The pump impeller wheel must be able to rotate. Clean any residual lye or fluff from the thread of the pump cap and pump housing.
Cleaning the strainer on the washing machine q Disconnect the hose from the back of the washing machine. q Pull out the strainer and rinse under running water. q Insert the strainer and reconnect the hose. q Turn on the water tap and check whether water is still discharged.
Troubleshooting Minor Faults d Risk of electric shock! Repairs may be carried out by customer service or authorised technicians only. If repairs are needed, and assuming that you cannot eliminate the fault yourself with the aid the following table: q Turn the programme selector to "Off". q Disconnect the washing machine from the mains.

Water drainage hose Warning Do not bend or pull the water drainage hose. Height difference between the placement area and drainage point: maximum 100 cm. Drainage into a siphon: q Secure connection point with 24-40 mm Ø hose clip (specialist outlet). Drainage into a wash basin: Warning The plug must not block the drain of the wash basin.
