    The Falk Navigator manual will teach you all about the extensive functions of your navigation device. Furthermore, problems which are caused by possible operating errors can be avoided by reading this manual. We wish you lots of enjoyment, a good trip, and safe arrival with your mobile Falk navigation device. About this manual The functions of your Falk Navigator navigation software are described in detail in the following chapters of this manual.
  • Page 7: Safety Notes & Maintenance - Conformity Declaration

    Road traffic regulations always take precedence over the instructions provided by the Falk Navigator. Should this require you to leave the route suggested by your navigation device, the Falk Navigator will recalculate the route and lead you to your destination along an alternative route.
  • Page 8 Power adapter (optional) Please only use original Falk accessories. Other types of power adapter may cause malfunctions and/or serious damage and cancel FMI’s liability for the resulting consequences. Do not use the p ower adapter in damp environments.

    ActiveSync® connection. Choose Define partnership>No and then click on Next. Start up the Falk Navi-Manager. On the menu of the Navi-Manager select Options>Theft protection. Enter a personal PIN with as many digits as you wish (but you may only use numbers) and make sure you remember it.

    1. Battery charge indicator: During the charging process the charge indicator glows red. It glows white or blue (M-Series) when the battery has been fully charged. 2. Touch screen: Displays the Falk Navigator software. Use your fingers to tap on the screen in order to select menu commands or enter data.

    A soft reset is therefore required every time the SD card is removed. 1.4.2 Serial number For some services or offers in the Falk Online Shop, you need to specify the serial number of your navigation device. You will find the serial number of your navigation device on the product sticker on the back of the device beneath the barcode.

    Falk does not accept any liability for expenditure incurred for any service that is required because you have forgotten your personal PIN number. If the PIN number is activated when you send your device in to Falk Service (plus Service fee), you will be charged the costs of sending it back.

    Navigation The Falk Navigator provides you with extensive functions which you can operate with ease from the main menu. The first page of the menu provides an easy introduction to the most important navigation functions. Select Destination entry to navigate to a destination directly.

    Your current position is marked on the map view by a red arrow. The route which has been calculated by the Falk Navigator and on which you are travelling has a blue background on the map view. This allows you to see ahead to where the route is taking you.

Chap. 5) and activated this data via the Settings menu, you will, on the basis of what speed is permitted, receive a visual and audible warning for the first time at least 50 m before a fixed speed camera and for the second time at least 15 m before a fixed speed camera.

    Using the destination entry button, you can enter a destination of your choice and have the navigation device guide you there conveniently. With the Falk Navigator, you can navigate to a specific house number (depending on the map information available).

    Instead of entering a complete address, you can search for special destinations (POIs) in a town/city or on a street; addresses for special destinations and, in certain cases, further information are stored in the Falk Navigator. These special destinations are divided into categories and frequently help you locate places of interest, attractions, hotels, restaurants, and much more.
