Redwood Racks
Racks show nicks, scrapes, or dents.
Possible Cause
This is normal.
Bottle fits loosely in rack.
Possible Cause
Odd-shaped or
odd-sized bottle.
Racks appear light in color.
Possible Cause
This is normal.
Entry Door
Door will not close completely or does not latch.
Possible Cause
Foreign object holding the
door open.
The door gasket may
be out of position.
The interior door latch may
be in the locked position.
Recommended Solution
A well-used wine vault will eventually gain the appearance
of a beautifully aged cellar. See Cleaning the Interior of
the Wine Vault.

Rotate the bottle.

Recommended Solution
Newly installed racks will be light at first. As they age,
they will darken to their peak dark patina.
Recommended Solution
Check doorway for debris and other obstructions.
Reposition the door gasket. Make sure it is clean and
pliable. See Cleaning the Interior of the Wine Vault.
Rotate the interior door latch so that the door will close.
