  • Page 2 Lower sash must open suffi ciently to allow a clear vertical opening of 14.5 inches (368mm). Side louvers and the rear of the air conditioner must have clear air space to allow enough air fl ow through the condenser, for heat removal. The rear of the unit must be outdoors, not inside a building or garage.
  • Page 3 HOW TO INSTALL MOUNTING HARDWARE QTY. 3/4” screw Lock frame Sash lock Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, drill (if pilot holes are needed) Note: The top rail and sliding panels at each side are offset to provide the proper pitch to the rear of (5/16”). This is necessary for proper condensed water utilization and drainage.
  • Page 4 HOW TO INSTALL (cont’d) Keep a fi rm grip on the air conditioner and carefully place the air conditioner into the window opening so the bottom of the air conditioner frame is against the window sill. Carefully close the window behind the top rail of the unit.
  • Page 5 • Keeping a fi rm grip on the air conditioner, raise sash and carefully “rock” the air conditioner backwards to drain any condensate water in the base of the unit. Be careful not to spill any remaining water while lifting unit from window.
