Network compatibility declaration
Hitachi Koki Imaging Solutions Fax Modem Model FM-2 is designed to
work with the public switched telephone networks (PSTNs) of the Euro-
pean Union and European Free Trade Association countries including
Switzerland.
In order to assure telephone network compatibility, the user should use the
software drivers provided by the manufacturer. If it is desired to use the
equipment on another telephone network or in the event of problems, the
user should contact the equipment supplier or the equipment manufacturer.
Notice to the user
Hitachi Koki Imaging Solutions Fax Modem Model FM-2 has been ap-
proved in accordance with the Council Decision 98/482/EC for pan-Euro-
pean single terminal connection to the public switched telephone network
(PSTN). However, due to differences between the individual PSTNs pro-
vided in different countries, the approval does not, of itself, give an uncon-
ditional assurance of successful operation on every PSTN network
termination point.
In the event of problems, you should contact your equipment supplier at
the first instance.

The Fax/Modem Model FM-2 is designed only for use with the laser
printer model 230DDS32 supplied by Hitachi Koki Imaging Solutions, Inc.
Use of the product with other equipment not listed here, may result in a
hazard and will invalidate the regulatory approval.
