Creating a Preset Creating a preset on the Marquis JM60/JM120 is very simple. All that you need to do is select an amp model, and then fine tune the basic amp sound with the amp controls. Then choose the effects to add to that sound, and fine tune those effects to your taste. The final step is to store the new sound to a user preset of your choice.

2. Use the Depth knob to set the intensity of the phaser. Since we want a medium phaser setting, this should be set to 3 or 4. 3. Use the speed knob to adjust how fast the phaser will sweep back and forth. Try setting this to 3. 4.
Manual Mode While in performance mode, the presets of the Marquis JM60/JM120 will relate to the values of the knobs at the time the presets were stored. The current position of the knobs will not reflect the value that you are hearing. The knobs must be turned at least one whole number before the JM60/JM120 will update to the position of the knob.
Foot Controller Options The Marquis has two different optional foot controllers, the J3 and the J8. These foot controllers offer you the ability of changing presets on the fly, or bypassing effects within a preset. The JM60/JM120 include individual jacks on the rear panel for each of these foot controllers. The J3 is a three button footswitch.
External Speaker The Marquis JM60 is capable of stereo operation via its 60 watt external speaker output jack. The external speaker must be a minimum 8 Ohm load or higher. Running any load lower than 8 s, could cause permanent damage to the Marquis JM60.
Note: The Marquis JM60/JM120 is designed for use of rack mount type effects only. Use of effect pedals in the FX loop is not recommended as they are not generally designed to handle the line level output produced at the FX send jack.
Resetting the Marquis JM60/JM120 This is a hard reset procedure, which will restore the JM60/JM120 to its original factory sounds. WARNING: THIS PROCEDURE WILL RESET ALL USER PRESETS IN THE MARQUIS TO FACTORY DEFAULT PRESETS. BE SURE THAT YOU WANT TO ERASE THE MEMORY AND START FRESH BEFORE CONTINUING WITH THIS PROCEDURE.
