To enable UEFI settings on your HP EliteBook 2740p and boot from a file without errors, follow these steps:
1. Enter BIOS Setup: Restart the laptop and press F10 repeatedly during startup to access the BIOS (HP F10 Setup).
2. Enable UEFI Boot Mode: - Navigate to the Boot Options section. - Look for UEFI Boot Mode and set it to Enabled (it is disabled by default).
3. Configure Boot Order: - In the Boot Order settings, ensure that the desired boot device is prioritized. - If booting from a USB or SD card, ensure USB Boot or SD Boot is enabled.
4. Save and Exit: - Press F10 to save changes and exit the BIOS.
5. Boot from a File: - Restart the laptop and enter the boot menu (usually by pressing F9 at startup). - Select Boot from EFI file and navigate to the appropriate EFI file.
By following these steps, you should be able to enable UEFI and boot from a file without encountering errors.
