Operating your Kenmore ®
I)
Before startingoperation,lift heater from box. We recommend keepingthe packaging for off-
seasonstorage and any transpor_needs.
2)
Finda leveland unobstructed l ocation to place theunpackagedheater.
3)
Donot plugany otherappfiances in while heater is running,
4)
Plugthe powercord directlyintoan unused grounded120 volt 15 amp circuit receptacle. The
power buttonwill illuminate andthe heater will beep, indicating the unitis plugged intothe
receptacle.
5)
Press thePOWERb_on inthe control p anelto turnon theheater.
6)
Switch the Mode Key to "High" in order to have the ]_eaterstay onhigh heat and notcycle on
and off.
7)
"fireheater isequippedwitha temperature limiting controlcontained inside the unit.If the heater stops
working, i t could be because it hasreached itstemperature limit. S hut1hepoweroff, unplugunitand
let theunitcool down (Approximately 30-45 minutes), p lugin unit,turn the powerback onand resume
use.if the unitcontinues to shut d ownor the unitdoesnot reset itself, p leasecall 1-800-839-0966.
IMPORTANT FEATURE AND INSTRUCTION =To turn the heater off, pressthe "Power" button;
the fan will continue to run until all of the heat has been expelled and will then turn off. This
could up to 5 minutes in some cases.DO NOT UNPLUGWHILERUNNING.
Cabinet Care - Wipe clean with a soft damp cloth.
Heater Storage - When the heater is not going to be usedfor an extendedperiod of time,do the
following:

Unplugthe heater,
2)
Wind up electricalcord so as to keep it off of the ground.
3)
Cover the heater to prevent dustfrom accumulating on filter or interna]]y.
4)
Store the heater in a dry, low dustenvironment. Preferably in the original box.
