Using the Self=timer

number of multiple shots (2 to 10)
to be taken with the self-timer.

the self-timer lamp, beeper, and countdown
display (in seconds) on the LCD monitor.

the interval between the mc tiple shots may be prolonged depending
on the shooting functions settings such as the image-recording quahty or flash.
If you do not look through the viewfinder when you press the shutter
button, attach the eyepiece cover (p.308).
If stray light enters the
viewfinder when the picture is taken, it may throw off the exposure.

_ ]-he <_.)2> enables you to shootwhile not touching the camera mounted on a
tripod. This prevents camera shake while you shoot still lifes or long exposures.
After taking self-timer shots, playing back the image (p.84) to check
focus and exposure is recommended.
÷, When using the self-timer to shoot only yourself,
use focus lock (p.61) on
an obtect at about the same distance
as where you will stand.
To cancel the self-timer after it starts, press the <4 D_ _®> button
