Direct' – in the comfort of your living room.

Philips WACS7000 'USB Direct' allows simple plug-and-play compatibility
with MP3 players and USB flash drives that are compliant with USB Mass
Storage Device Class.

What is " USB Direct "?

Philips 'USB Direct' enables you to playback MP3, AAC and WMA music files from a USB
device to the WACS7000 and to transfer music files from the WAC7000 to a USB
device.

Can I copy files via USB Direct from the WACS7000 to a USB device and vice versa?
A
Yes. You can copy music files from the WAC7000 to a USB device. You cannot copy music files from a
USB device to the WAC7000.

How do I use the USB Direct ?
A
Simply plug in your USB device and press SOURCE one or more times to select USB mode. Use
the 3 4 and 2 keys to select the file you want to play.

How do I copy music files from the WACS7000 to a USB device?
A
Simply plug in your USB device and press SOURCE one or more times to select HD mode, then
use 3 4 and 2 keys to navigate in a playlist, artist list, album...etc., and enter its corresponding
list of tracks. Then, press the "RECORD" button to invoke the selection option. Lastly, press
"MARK.UNMARK" to select/deselect tracks and press "RECORD" once again to start copying.

How do I exit the USB Direct?

Stop playback of the files and press SOURCE one or more times to exit. Or, just unplug your USB
device.

Can I play music from my portable MP3 player or USB flash drive via USB Direct?
A
Yes. As long as your MP3 player or USB flash drive is compliant with the USB Mass Storage Device
Class and does not contain any proprietary database, then you should be able to play music from
your portable MP3 player or USB flash drive via USB Direct.

Why doesn't my USB Mass Storage Device Class (umass) work with the WACS7000?
A
Since there are various kinds of USB Mass Storage Device Class (umass), not all devices are
guaranteed to be compatible. For example, some USB flash drives can work on Windows XP,
Apple Mac and Linux, but some USB flash drives can work on Windows but not Mac. This is because
some drive manufacturers test their devices on the Windows XP platform only, not fully complying
