7. Menu functions

■ Messages
(Menu 01)
You can read, write,
send and save text, multimedia, and
e-mail messages. All messages are
organised into folders.
Before you can send any text,
picture, or e-mail message, you need
to save your message centre number,
see
"Message settings"

Text messages

Your phone can send and receive
multi-part messages, which consist
of several ordinary text messages
(network service). Invoicing is based
on the number of ordinary messages
that are required for a multi-part
message.
You can also send and receive text
messages that contain pictures.
Each picture message is made up of
several text messages. Therefore,
sending one picture message may
cost more than sending one text
message.

Note: Picture message
function can be used only if
it is supported by your
network operator or service
provider. Only phones that
offer picture message
features can receive and
display picture messages.
Writing and sending messages
The number of available characters
and the current part number of a
multi-part message are shown on
the top right of the display.
1. Press Menu, and select
Messages,
Text messages
Create
message.
Tip: To quickly open the
Create message

2. Key in a message. See

3. To send the message, press
Options
and select Send.
4. Enter the recipient's phone
number or search for the phone
number in the phone book.
