Connecting the unit to a PC

Slide the USB port lever until it stops to open
the USB port.

Connect the unit to a PC with the USB cable.
Whilst the unit is connected to the PC, the
message shown appears on the unit.

The buttons on the unit do not work if it is connected to a
PC. Disconnect the PC to operate on the unit.
Recording
Recording with the built-in microphone :

Press the POWER button to turn the
power on.
Hold down the menu
button for 0.5 seconds
Recording from the external equipment :

Connect the external equipment to the unit.

Within 10 seconds,

Connect the unit to a PC.

Launch Windows Media Player.

Click "Copy to CD or Device (Sync)" on
the taskbar.

From the drop-down list of "Items to Copy
(All Music)" window, select a list with
desired audio data.

Select the check boxes of audio data to
transfer.

Set the unit as a destination.

Select a folder (Windows Media Player 9
Series only).

Click the "Copy (Start Sync)" button to
start transfer.
Maintenance
Cleaning
When the unit becomes dirty
Clean it with a soft cloth. When
the unit is excessively dirty, use
a soft cloth dampened in water
(external surfaces only).
SOUND
Clean the plugs and the
connecting sockets.
If the plugs or sockets are dirty,
to
noise may be heard. Cleaning
RECORD
will prevent noise.
