source (similar to a Windows NT Server in the Server Manager) it cannot be "deleted"
or "removed" because the MSP stores the information about this server for a longer
period.
So if a displayed server is not to be used in your user profiles, it can be "hidden", that
is marked, so that it does no longer appear in the server list. However, this selection
only applys to the user currently logged in whereas another one would see the com-
plete server list again.
In case a hidden server is to be displayed again later, click on Show all so that all MRS
Servers known to the MSP are listed again.
An MRS Server used in an individual profile cannot be hidden.
Alternatively you can enter a * as Address and subsequently click on Lookup . Now the
MRS Service Provider starts a new attempt to find an MRS Server among all ad-
dresses reported by the network router and displays the first one found. In the configu-
ration tab Server also all newly found MRS Servers are displayed now; the button Show

6.2 MRS Service Provider and TCP/IP APL on one Computer
If the MRS Service Provider is to run on the same computer as the MRS Server and
the client application is to be connected via TCP/IP then the TCP/IP APL must manu-
ally be assigned a different I/O Port when an MRS Server with a version before 4.0 is
used. Otherwise the MRS Service Provider would use the same port as the TCP/IP
APL which is not possible.
This is what you do to change the port assignment:
1. Open the Registry Editor via Start
2. Click on OK .
3. Open the key Software\PP-COM\MRS\TcpApl\NwPlugTcp\ in the win-
