Problem
A process does not
start.
A process stops
unexpectedly.
A process is
performing slowly.
Symptoms
A user gets an error
response to a RUN
command.
Users cannot access
the process.
An OMF warning
message appears.
Users complain of
slow response time or
"hung" terminals.

Possible Causes
The user might have
entered syntax
incorrectly.
A duplicate process
name might exist.
A processor might
have failed.
The user might be
using a nonexistent
program file.
Inadequate swap file
space might exist.
A security violation
might have occurred.
An application or
system error occurs.
A processor failure
might have occurred.
Use INSPECT or
DEBUG.
A process is looping.
A process is
suspended.
Solution
Reenter the syntax
correctly.
Choose a different
name.
Run the process in
a different
processor.
User must use the
correct program
file.
Make more disk
space available.
Obtain security or
alter security.
Restart the process
if you have the
proper authority.
Dump the
processor's memory
and reload it.
Notify your
management.
Notify your
management.
Use the TACL
ACTIVATE
command.
