The'IW
remote
control
does not work
• Check that the batteries are installed correctly. See page Q-2*.
• If'the batteries are dead, replace fllem with two "AA" size heavy duty (zinc chloride) or NkNine batteries. See page *Q-2.
• Be no tzarther than 30 feet from the "IX.: w hen using the remote control and point the remote toward the remote-sensor window on
the T_. See page *Q-2 [br the location of the remote-sensor windm_:

• Check the TV power cord. Unplug the _
wok 10 seconds, then reinsert the plug into the outlet and push the remote power or
TV power/standby button again. To locate the TV powe_,istandby button, see page *Q-2.
• If'you have your "IX.: p lugged into an AC power strip, ensure that the fuse on the power strip is not blown.
• Check to see if the "IX.:is on a wall switch.
The'IV
has no power
• Check the TV's power cord. Unplug the _
wok 10 seconds, then reinsert the plug into the outlet and push the remote-control
power or "IX.:power/standby button again. The location o['the 77"powe_istandl_, button is illustrated on page *Q-2.
• Check that the outlet is not on a wall switch.
• If'you are using an AC power strip, be sure the fuse orl the power strip is not blowrl.
You cannot get a picture
• Be sure that you have m0x2le signM connections correctly and securely. Seepages
*Q-l, *Q-Z 6=9, and 12-16.
• Check the Tuner Mode control for the correet tuner setting. Seepage
*Q-5.
• Try framing the Auto Progranl feature. See page *Q-5.
• Ensure fllat youhave
selecXedthe correct picture signM source using theAV (yemote) or Source Seleet (TV) buttons. Seepage24.
• If'you are attempting to view a picture from a progressive-scan-capable
DVD player to the HD inputs, ensure fllat you have
switched the DVD player to pro_essive-scan
mode. See page 14, as well as the DVD player's direaions:/br-use
manual.
• If you are using an T-TD receiver, ensure that its output is set correctly (T-SD or SD) based on the cormection to the TV you have
m_Je. See 15. Also, re!_r to the directions-fi;r-use manual that came with the HD re_:eiver.
Picture
is fuzzy or out of focus
Check the set's convergence anti a_djustif'necessar -.See page *Q-7 andpages 33-34.
You cannot
see a picture
when you play aVCR
tape
Press the AV button
on the remote
control or the Source Select button
on the TV until you have selected the source to which you
connected
the VCR. Seepage

You cannot tune to a particular
channel
• Use the number buttons orl the remote instead of the CT-T 4/- buttons. See page *Q-3 (remote-control buttons).

You see scrolling images
