Changing the Engine Oil
The engine oil should be changed for the first time
after 5-8 hours of operation. thereafter, it should be
changed every 50 hours. Refill with service class
SG, SH, SJ or higher oil as specified in the Viscosity
Grades table in this section.
Change the oil while the engine is still warm. the oil
will flow more freely and carry away more impurities.
Make sure the engine is level when filling, checking or
changing the oil.
WARNING!
Engine oil can be very hot if it is
drained directly after stopping the
engine. Allow the engine to cool to a
safe temperature.
1.
Place the machine on a flat surface.
2.
Place a container under the engine where the
hose from the oil drain valve exits.
3.
Remove the dipstick and open the drain valve.
4.
With a 10mm wrench or socket, turn the hex head
valve stem counterclockwise until fully open.
5.
Allow the oil to run out into the container.
6.
Close the oil drain valve.
7.
Replace the oil filter if necessary.
8.
Fill with new engine oil in accordance with
Checking the Oil Level.
9.
Start the engine. Run it for a few seconds. Stop
and recheck the oil level.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
To prevent extensive engine wear or damage,
always maintain the proper oil level in the
crankcase. Never operate the engine with the
oil level below the "ADD" mark or over the
"FULL" mark on the dipstick.

Used engine oil is a health hazard and must
not be disposed of on the ground or in nature;
it should always be disposed of at a workshop
or appropriate disposal location.
Avoid skin contact; wash with soap and water
in case of spills.
