While setting the up on the door the rope release for the door went to far and cut all power off to the Genie 1000. I pulled the rope and the safety carrier released. I still have no power. How do I reset the safety switch so the unit has power.

The document does not provide specific instructions on resetting the safety switch to restore power on a Genie IntelliG 1000 3024. However, you may try turning off Sure-Lock™ by pressing and releasing the Sure-Lock™ button on the wall console. If that does not restore power, consider checking the power source and safety beam sensors.
