Use Fabric Select to choose the agitate/spin speed for the type of
fabrics you are washing. Each speed setting is designed for
different types of fabrics and soil levels.
Heavy Duty

combines high-speed agitation and high-speed spins with an
integrated 4-minute soak. Agitation time is approximately
12 - 18 minutes depending on soil level selected.
Normal
This speed setting is for sturdy or heavily soiled loads. Setting
combines low-speed
agitation and high-speed spin. Agitation
time is approximately
7 - 13 minutes depending on soil level
selected.
Casual
This speed setting is for permanent press blends and synthetic
fabrics. Setting combines low-speed agitation for light to
moderately soiled fabrics and low-speed spin to reduce wrinkling.
Agitation time is approximately 7 - 13 minutes depending on soil
level selected.
Delicates
This speed setting is for delicate items and washable knits.
Setting combines extra-low speed agitation for gentle soil removal
and low-speed
spin to minimize wrinkling. Agitation time is
approximately 3 - 9 minutes depending on soil level selected.
Hand Wash
This speed setting is for special care items. This setting features a
series of brief agitations at extra-low speed with short soaks for
the gentlest cleaning and low-speed spin to minimize wrinkling.
Agitation time is approximately 3 - 9 minutes depending on soil
level selected.
This section describes the available wash cycles and options
within those cycles. It will help you make the best selections for
your wash loads.
The washer pauses briefly throughout each cycle. These
pauses are normal. Refer to "Normal Sounds" in the Washer
User Instructions to learn more about the sounds you may
hear during a wash cycle.
Refer to "Understanding
Washer Cycles" in the Washer User
Instructions to learn what happens during a wash cycle.
Heavy Soil
This selection will give you additional agitation time. When the
timer reaches Light Soil on the Timer knob, the washer will pause
briefly before completing the remainder of the cycle. This setting

Fabric Select knob. When the timer reaches Light Soil on the
Timer knob, the washer will pause briefly before completing the
remainder of the cycle. This setting should be used for Permanent

yes new amana only used 4 times but each time it seems it does not agitate on rinse cycle, only about a glass of water if that much went in first rinse and same thing for second rinse, set on autosense so shouldn't have even tried to rinse twice and never did agitate clothes on rinse

The Amana washer may not agitate during the rinse cycle and only use a small amount of water due to several possible reasons:

1. Error Codes: The diagnostic mode shows error codes F3 E0 and F1 E0, which may indicate sensor or control board issues affecting water levels and agitation.
2. Lid Open: The washer will not agitate if the lid is open.
3. Overload: Overloading the washer can prevent proper agitation.
4. Cycle Design: Some wash cycles include pauses or minimal agitation to prevent tangling.
5. Water Level Sensors: A faulty water level sensor can cause the washer to use less water than needed.
6. Control Board or Actuator Issues: Even after replacing these parts, other components like wiring or sensors may still affect function.

A technician may need to inspect the washer further to determine the exact cause.
