    If the focus brackets turn red, the viewfinder light blinks, and the Macro _ icon blinks on the Image Display, either the camera is set to the Macro _ focus range but detects the focus is farther away than the macro (close-up) range, or the camera is set to the Normal focus range but detects the focus is closer than the normal range.

    Setting the exposure mode NOTE The exposure mode setting does not apply when you are recording video clips. The Exposure Mode dial lets you seled between five exposure modes for the still pictures you take. The exposure mode setting determines how the camera selects the tSO speed, F-number (aperture), and shutter speed for the given scene brightness.
