Messages and Signals

Meaning
The front cover or SPF is open. Close it.
The original document is jammed.
A fax has been received in memory
because the TD cartridge needs
replacement (See the copier operation
manual.), the fax machine has run out of
printing paper, or the paper is jammed. The
fax will be printed out automatically once the
problem is fixed.
Fax transmission or reception was not
successful. Press the STOP key to clear the
message, and then try again.
The memory is full. See "Memory" under
"Special Functions" in Chapter 4.
The printing paper is jammed.
The setting for the printing paper size is
incorrect. Set it correctly. In the area labeled
"XXX," "LTR," "LGL," or "A4" will appear.
TD cartridge empty.
TD cartridge not inserted.
TD cartridge or drum cartridge life expired.

Front/side cover open.
The paper has run out and the data is read
into memory. Set it correctly. In the area
labeled "XXX," "LTR," "LGL," or "A4" will
appear.
Set the document(s) in the unit.
Line error
No answer from the receiver.
Paper jam in the SPF.
When memory is full and there is a line
error, the display alternates between the
RETURN ORG. and MEMORY FULL
messages.
