    • Finalize the CD-R/CD-RW if necessary, and attempt playback again. Tips for making your own CDs The DVA-9861Ri plays DVD Audio, DVD Video, Video CD, Audio CD and has a built in MP3/WMA decoder. The following information is designed to help you create your own music CDs (either Audio CD or MP3/WMA encoded CD-R/RW files).
  • Page 8 Hybrid Audio CD and Data (MP3/WMA) CD-R/RW discs: The DVA-9861Ri can read either sector on the disc. Choose CD- DA to play the CD audio section or MP3/WMA to play the MP3/ WMA section.* Multisession CD-R/RW: Once a recording has been stopped, this is considered one session.

    Getting Started SOURCE/ (OPEN) Rotary encoder POWER MODE Turning Power On and Off Press SOURCE/POWER to turn on the unit. • The unit can be turned on by pressing any other button except TITLE, Rotary encoder and (OPEN). Press and hold SOURCE/POWER for at least 2 seconds to turn off the unit.

    Initial System Start-Up Be sure to press the RESET switch when using the unit for the first time, after changing the car battery, etc. Turn off the unit power. Press (OPEN) to open the front panel, then remove it. Press RESET with a ballpoint pen or similar pointed object.

The RDS allows you to receive a variety of information such as traffic information, station names, and to automatically re-tune to a stronger transmitter that is broadcasting the same programme.

    Parametric Equalizer Adjustments The frequency bands of the graphic equalizer are fixed. This makes it very difficult to correct for undesired peaks and dips at specific frequencies. The parametric equalizer’s centre frequency can be tuned to these specific frequencies. Then, the bandwidth (Q) and level are fine-tuned, independently, to make the necessary corrections.
