To verify the firmware update:
At the cli> prompt, type enclosure and press Enter.

Updating Firmware with the JBOD Flash Utility
The download firmware image (.img) file package includes a Windows-based
utility to update the firmware on the ASUS Storage DS300j unit. The JBOD
utility:
•
Updates firmware on ASUS Storage subsystems only
•
Updates one ASUS Storage at a time
•
Runs on Windows PCs over a RS232 serial connection
•
Works with any RAID system configuration
Preparing the Utility
To prepare the utility:
1.
Verify that your serial connection from your PC to the DS300j unit is online.
See ―Setting up the Serial Connection‖ on page 16.
2.
Unzip the firmware download, locate and open the expfwdlutil folder.
The utility file is expfwdlutil_<version number>.exe.
By default, the utility connects to the DS300j unit through the Host PC's
COM1 port.
After you click the Submit button, if ASUS Storage Management
displays this message: error transferring image, you entered an
incorrect file name or an incorrect location. Check the information
and try again.
