Charging the Battery

You will need to charge the BF-1 before you use it for the first time.
To charge the battery of the BF-1, simply connect it to a computer with the
included USB cable. Make sure the computer is on and running.
IMPORTANT

You can also charge the battery using the optional PA-U010 USB AC power
adaptor and the included USB cable.

The optional USB AC power adaptor may not be available depending on your particular area.
Please check with your Yamaha dealer.

DANGER
Do not charge the battery in extremely cold or hot environments. You should charge it in
a temperature conditions of between 0° to 40°C (32° to 104°F). Recharging the battery
in high temperatures may result in fire or an explosion.
CAUTION
Make sure to only use the USB cable included with the device. Use of any other cable
may damage the BF-1 or cause the unit to malfunction.
You can check the remaining battery power and charging status with the battery
icon at the top right of the display.
...... Battery is being charged.
...... Battery power is full. The device is ready for use.
...... Battery power is a little low.
...... Battery power will soon run out. Charge the battery.
...... Battery is empty. Immediately charge the battery.

Complete charging of the battery from no power to being fully charged takes about three hours.
When charging the battery from a laptop, we recommend connecting the power cord of the laptop
to an AC outlet.
