The Intel Q43 Express chipset consists of the following devices:
• Intel 82Q43 Graphics and Memory Controller Hub (GMCH) with Direct Media
Interface (DMI) interconnect
• Intel 82801JD I/O Controller Hub (ICH10D)
The GMCH component provides interfaces to the CPU, memory, and the DMI
interconnect. The component also provides integrated graphics capabilities supporting
3D, 2D, and display capabilities. The ICH10D is a centralized controller for the board's
I/O paths.
The chipset supports the following features:

Intel Q43 Graphics Subsystem

The Intel Q43 Express chipset contains two graphics options. Either the Intel Graphics
Media Accelerator 4500 (Intel GMA 4500) graphics controller (contained within the
82Q43 GMCH) is used or a PCI Express x1 add-in graphics card can be used.
