MAKING IN-WALL CONNECTIONS
Method 4
Using the MCX-CA15 as a stand-alone amplifier
Use this configuration method if you want to use the MCX-CA15 as an amplifier for a system other than the
MusicCAST system and the MCX-CA15 is set for the zone setting on your amplifier or receiver. This
configuration also allows you to enjoy audio from external components connected to the MCX-CA15.
If you want to automatically detect input signals using the input level sensing function
switch on the inside front panel of the MCX-CA15 to "B".
If you do not want to use the input level sensing function
of the MCX-CA15 to "C".

CAUTIONS
Complete all other connections before connecting to a live power source.
Be sure to set the MODE switch on the inside front panel of the MCX-CA15 to "B" or "C"
before connecting to a live power source.

Notes
When the MCX-CA15 is set to mode "C", the IR/CTRL jack on the front panel functions as a CONTROL
IN jack.
When the MCX-CA15 is set to mode "B", the CONTROL IN/OUT jack on the bottom panel functions as
a CONTROL OUT jack. When the MCX-CA15 is set to mode "C", this jack functions as a CONTROL IN
jack.
