My phone doesn't
work at all.
I cannot get a dial
tone.
. In Canada, dial
• Make sure the power cord is securely plugged in.
• Make sure you plug the battery connector securely
into the cordless handset.
• Make sure you plug the telephone line cord securely
and firmly into the telephone base and the
telephone wall jack.
• Charge the battery in the cordless handset for at
least 16 hours. For optimum daily performance,
return the cordless handset to the telephone base
or charger when not in use.
• If the battery is depleted, it might take
approximately four minutes to charge the handset
before it can resume display on the screen.
• Reset the telephone base. Unplug the electrical
power. Wait for approximately 15 seconds, then
plug it back in. Allow up to one minute for the
cordless handset and telephone base to reset.
• You may need to purchase a new battery. Please
refer to Battery installation & charging, page 6, in
this user's manual.
• First try all the suggestions above.
• Move the cordless handset closer to the telephone
base. You might have moved out of range.
• If the previous suggestions do not work, disconnect
the telephone base from the telephone jack and
connect to a different phone. If there is no dial tone
on that phone either, the problem is in your wiring
or local service. Contact your local telephone
company.
• Your line cord might be malfunctioning. Try installing
a new line cord.

Discarding phone. Can a factory reset be do b e to remove all information. Don't see that anywhere in manual.
We are unable to receive a call. The message is that the receiver is busy. The accept call indication (with three bars) is on with one receiver but the second receiver seems to have only one bar showing. Neither receiver will accept calls.

1. The ringer may be turned off.
2. The telephone line cord or power cord may not be securely plugged in.
3. The handset may be too far from the telephone base.
4. The handset battery may need charging (charge for at least 16 hours).
5. There may be too many extension phones on the same line.
6. The layout of the home or office may limit the operating range—try relocating the base.
7. There may be a problem with the telephone line—test with another phone or contact the telephone company.
