Installing A Remote Access Card
CAUTION:
Only trained service technicians are authorized to remove the system cover and access any
of the components inside the system. See your Product Information Guide for complete information
about safety precautions, working inside the computer, and protecting against electrostatic discharge.
This document provides instructions for installing the remote access card on your system.
NOTE:
See your Installation and Troubleshooting Guide for detailed instructions on removing or
replacing components.

Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the
electrical outlet.

Open the system.

Remove the filler plug from the system back panel. See Figure 1.

Remove the memory cooling shroud (if present).
5
Remove the memory module fans at the back of the system (if present).
6
Remove the fan bracket at the back of the system (if present).

Install the RAC card: Hold the card by its edges with the holes in the corners of the card aligned with the four plastic standoffs on the system board.

Richten Sie sie dann wieder gerade aus. Siehe Abbildung 2. Installieren Sie die RAC-Karte. Halten Sie die Karte an den Kanten, und richten Sie die Löcher an den Ecken der Karte mit den vier Kunststoffabstandshaltern auf der Systemplatine aus.
