Geometric Construction Basics Using the ERASER One of the advantages of using a CAD system is the ability to remove entities without leaving any marks. The point can be located, using Cartesian coordinate system, as X and Y units away from the origin. Interactive method: Use the cursor to select on the screen. Absolute Coordinates (Format: X,Y): Type the X and Y coordinates to locate the point on the current coordinate system relative to the origin.
