The tray icon displays the status of the Realtime Protection service.
Central functions of your Avira product can be quickly accessed via the context menu of
the tray icon. To open the context menu, click the tray icon with the right-hand mouse
button.

Activate Avira Realtime Protection: Enables or disables the Avira Realtime
Protection.

Enable Avira Web Protection: Enables or disables the Avira Web Protection.

Start Avira: Opens the Control Center.

Configure Avira: Opens the Configuration

Start update Starts an update.

Help: opens the Online Help.

About Avira Free Antivirus: Opens a dialog box with information on your Avira
product: Product information, Version information, License information.

Avira on the Internet: Opens the Avira web portal on the Internet. The condition for this
is that you have an active connection to the Internet.

4.2 Toolbar

4.2.1 Overview

After successful installation, the Avira SearchFree Toolbar is integrated in your web
browser. When the browser is first accessed a status window opens containing important
information on toolbar functions.
The toolbar consists of a search box, an Avira logo linked to the Avira website, two status
displays and the Options menu.


engine.
